History behind Miche Bags
The first Miche bag was made by a woman, who had to face the spilling problem for her own handbag. The first Miche bag came to life in 2004, when our founder, Michelle Romero, spilled on her favourite handbag. She was frustrated by the thought of dumping her favourite accessory which had now become an integral part of her lifestyle. An idea popped out in her mind, she thought it would have been better if her bag would have had changing outer covers, so that all she would have had to do was to change the outer casing and her bag would have been as good as new. She picked up some scrap paper and fabric glue, and made the first ever prototype of the Miche bag. Thus, with a spill, Miche was born. Since then, Miche is providing handbag spill solutions to women around the world.
Miche is now a company based in Utah, United States that manufactures bags. There are thousands of manufacturers around the world, but Miche is different. Miche designs and manufactures bags that have changeable outer covers, often called shells or ‘chelles’. With Miche you won’t have to surrender you bag, just change the outer shell and your bag is as good as new , all you would lose is one shell, and if you really loved that design, the shell is very easily available.
